This highly textured poppy is done by finger painting due to and injury the artist sustained from a fall injuring her hand and shoulder.
An artist is not content usless they are panting and will use any means of painting possible, therefor fingers in this instance wer used on an already prepared textured canvas. The highs and lows of color stand out on the texture giving the painting a dramatic look.
